Night Dreams

Introduction

Dreams have always fascinated humanity (although today perhaps less so). From kings who consulted dream interpreters to modern-day scientists. Whether you believe that dreams are messages from above, or if you believe they are expressions of the brain/subconscious, working with dreams can have value in your life.

The ability to dream is an innate skill, and like other organs and abilities we possess that have proven to be valuable, dreaming also holds value. A dream is like a letter we receive every morning. You might think, “But I don’t dream”, when you don’t open the letters, you stop receiving them. In other words, when you stop paying attention to your dreams, after a while, you stop remembering them. To relate to a dream, at the most basic level is to take a moment to think about it before rushing out of bed to start the day.

Working with Dreams vs. Dream Interpretation

There are various sources for dream interpretation, from psychology, Kabbalah, the East, and more. Usually, once a dream is understood, that’s where it ends. In working with night dreams, beyond understanding the dream, there is an option, if necessary, to create a correction and, from there, influence the quality of our lives.

Events from daily life influence the dreams we have at night, and the effect is also reversed – once we make a correction to something troubling in a dream, it will have an effect on our daily lives.

An example of a dream that requires correction is a recurring disturbing dream. Some corrections are clear, such as a broken floor, while others are more complex, like a conflict with another person who appears in the dream.

Every experience is real and legitimate

A child wakes up from a nightmare in the middle of the night, with a rapid heartbeat and sweating all over. In panic, they go to their parents and say, “I dreamt that Oscar, our fish, came out of the water. I tried to put him back, but he died in my hands.”

In response, the father takes the child to the aquarium and says, “It’s not real, it’s nothing. Everything is fine, see, he’s moving, right?”

The child’s experience was real, and their body reacted as if the fish had died, but in reality, the fish was alive. The experience itself was real, but not true.

Personal Meaning

The same symbols that appear to different people can have different meanings. For example, to a person who raises a cat, the meaning will be positive, whereas for someone who is allergic to or afraid of cats, the meaning will be negative.

Different people express certain aspects of a person’s personality. People whom the individual does not know may express traits or parts of the person’s personality that they are not aware of in themselves

Universal Meaning

The meaning of colors and numbers is universal. However, rarely a person may have a personal meaning associated with a color or number, and in such cases, that personal meaning takes precedence. For example, a person for whom the number 2 is their lucky number and the best there is.

This knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation. From my experience and that of my teachers, the meanings are accurate, and you can verify this for yourselves.

How to Remember and Write Dreams?

The best way, in my opinion, is to keep a notebook and pen by the bedside and write down the dream as soon as you wake up. If you go to the bathroom before writing, the dream is often forgotten.

When writing or sharing the dream, it’s important to do so in the present tense, as it helps recall the dream and miss fewer details.

Tip for those who “don’t dream” – write tomorrow’s date in the notebook as a preparation for the dream that will be written.

Good night and sweet dreams!
